Welcome to Echoes in the Valley, a 160-acre farm located in the Lockyer Valley. We want to provide an honest and transparent overview of the property and what you can expect if you’re considering joining us here. This farm is a work in progress, and while it holds great potential, it’s important to understand that there are significant challenges and ongoing needs for maintenance and improvement.
Current Conditions:
- Farm Infrastructure: The farm, including some of the dwellings and machinery, is currently in a state of disrepair. Many areas require significant organising, cleaning, repairs, and ongoing maintenance. Expect to encounter uneven, unfinished spaces that need a lot of work.
- Land and Landscaping: The property consists of a mix of hillside areas, forested zones, and natural bushland. Some areas are overgrown and in need of landscaping and upkeep to make them more usable and aesthetically pleasing. While there are places with potential for beauty, much of the farm requires time and effort to bring them to a higher standard.
- Soil and Farming Conditions: The soil is predominantly clay, with some alluvial volcanic soil in the lower sections. While the soil is fertile, it may require amendments and careful management to make it productive for long-term agricultural use. Farming will not be easy or quick, and there are no guarantees of immediate success.
- Water Supply: There are 13 dams on the property, which provides water for farming and recreational needs. However, water management and access can be challenging, especially in dry periods, and maintenance of the dams and irrigation systems will be required.
- Accommodation: The Shared Shipping Containers Shed and caravan are available for accommodation, but they are basic and in need of repairs. You should expect to make improvements to these spaces if you wish to make them comfortable for long-term living.

Welcome to Echoes in the Valley where our animals will always enjoy extra care and attention and camping stays are in the wild.
We offer good camping spots for folk that are self reliant and contained. There are beautiful views on the large hillside and each is remote and isolated.
We also offer A single studio hut with a shower, bio-digestor loo, kitchen, lounge and bedroom. It has lights, a fridge, gas camp stove, but unfortunately no power for charging devices. There are beautiful views of the hillside from the loungeroom and verandah.
